LottoMining.com the place for wheels, data tables and filters to play repeating patterns in five draw lotto games.

02/25/08: New development is under way in .NET, we're writing classes (functions and properties) and adding more stored procedures in SQL Server 2005.  There is more to be added, and different kinds of content (MDX/OLAP, Business Intelligence).  There is also the additional coding in Excel VBA or DAO for Access when there are new "tests" to build and run.</>

<11/11/07> Due to the complexity and processing overhead involved with generating all possible combinations of 5 numbers in a pool of 15 numbers, I put it on "hold" temporarily and switched to programming the infrastructure for all combinations of 3 numbers where the range of numbers is between 0 – 9; your standard three draw lotto game.  The version one starts with generating all 1000 possible combo's with a separate switch for choosing the number of odd numbers to filter the 1000, as well as a function to specify the SUM range (of all three numbers added).  It is again using ASP.NET and a SQL Server 2005 database; MSFT's flagship technology for building Web based applications that can communicate with a SQL Server 2005 database online.  I was able to change gears (from the 5 draw code) and get the smaller scaled project done and launched ( the v1.0 version) done in about 6 hours (it is up there and FREE).  I was able to get a lot done rather quickly since I was able to inter-mix database stored procedures and code in a few classes to extend what a database can normally do.  Along the way I added a couple of User Defined Functions in the SQL Server 2005 database; this will open the door to other metrics being efficiently added in the near future.  I'm going to be coding as much as I can leading up to the holidays and then see where I'm at.  I’m pretty sure I can expand the current project and have something working by end of Thanksgiving weekend.  I hope to have the Ilya Bluskov (sp?) combinatorics book incorporated though later.

For the 3-draw application, there’s a function for returning the Odd count, another for the sum of all 3 draws (75% of the time the sum is between 6 and 19 when adding all three digits for CA Daily 3), a checkbox list is there that filters the criteria for all three numbers, where selecting 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 in the checkbox list will return all combinations of those numbers and nothing greater than 6 in the result set is returned.  In the near future I’ll add a Multiple Select List box to return a “Kitchen Sink model” where all criteria can be return in a huge record-set.  Tester's for this 3 draw application, as well as new suggested metrics to code are welcome./>

Since I have the 3-draw example working, I am now ready to return to coding the 5 draw engine; the rough part is that I’ve got to iron out sticking points and try some new methods along the way.  Picture a jeep stuck in the mud, or maybe it’s more like pushing a big rock or two up a hill.  It’s a strange, frustrating kind of fun.  More to be written along the way, once I figure out the way.

<10/27/2007> There has been a huge run of Pairs repeating over the last 11 draws with the number two being picked 7 times in 12 draws. Over the last few weeks, most of my development work on this project has been on the .NET side though I've also changed most of everything to this new template.

<10/2/2007>  In the last three days, I built version 1.0 of a block of code that generates all possible combinations of 5 draws from a pool of 15 numbers.  It was built using ASP.NET 2.0 and SQL Server 2005.  On the third day, I was up at 5AM ironing out one of the last two kinks in the code, taking a coffee break one hour later.  At 1 PM I came back to it with a fresh pair of eyes and fixed the remaining piece.  The addition to v. 1.0 will have other criteria that an end user could specify, such as show all possibilities where these X "hot" numbers are anywhere in the draw; or 1 from 2 days back and 2 from 4 days back etc.  This block of code will also (soon) look into kicking out "unlikely" types of draws such as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5; or where all 5 draws are odd or even.  I've also built a few other ASP.NET functions in new pages over the last week, it has been a lot of fun building it.  It is safe to say I have around 500 pages of VB code for Excel and Access (mostly DAO, a little ADO) that I'll be moving over to VB.NET (later on it'll be C#) and SQL Server 2005.  There is lots still more to add to the ASP.NET and database side to the application.  Lastly, I'll be extending the code so that all possible combinations of 3, 4, or 5 draws from a range of X numbers (x range = 10 - 27) can be generated and tested, filtered ad nauseum  (Old stats professor's joke: you torture the data long enough it will confess to anything!).

<9/2/2007>  When you compare 8/27 and 9/1, you can see a "triple" where 3 numbers repeat, predicting when it'll occur is pretty intuitive when looking at the right side of the Daily Pairs table . This is the Radar Table that shows that the draw where all 5 numbers will be re-picked from somewhere in the last 4 draws is due to recur -- fairly soon (next 60-90 draws). The draw where 3 numbers are 33 and greater is overdue to recur (see the row with the 3 at the Dimensional Groups view).  The draw where 3 numbers are even is also still overdue to recur despite it occurring in the last few draws.  These two trends will likely see clusters of draws fulfilling those criteria.  I'm ecstatic to report my first LottoMining member matched 4 of 5 numbers and won $464 on 8/24/07 based on LottoMining's specific advice to only pick from numbers listed in the last 6 draws AND look for "multiple pairs" repeating .  This loyal reader photocopied the winning ticket and mailed to to me, I'll scan it in within a week or so and post it. </>

<9/1/2007>  The draw on 8/31 had a lot of "turnover", which is numbers that hadn't been picked for many draws are now being re-placed in the machine's sampling pool.  The five right most columns of the Posi-tracker table records the replacement of a particular number ( where it was last picked and in which relative position).  On those days you generally DON'T want to play.</>

<8/24/2007>  There were 20 unique numbers in the 6 draws before 8/24, the odds table row for 20 lists a 1 in 207 chance for hitting a 4/5 and 1 in 15 for a 3/5.  There could be a "triple" on 8/25 where 3 numbers repeat, the "Actual Numbers" column at Daily Pairs shows a cluster of pairs hitting.   View the Radar Table that shows that the draw where all 5 numbers will be re-picked from somewhere in the last 4 draws is due to recur -- fairly soon (next 60-90 draws). <08/16/07>  There was another triple from 6 draws back on 8/15, the 5th time it occurred in the last 50 draws. Very unusual.  I'll add my radar view that shows that all from within the last 11 draws (like 8/15) was overdue to recur -- as is the draw where all 5 will be re-picked from somewhere in the last 4 draws.  There could be more pairs repeating and another triple within the next 10 draws.  The draw where 3 numbers are 33 and greater is overdue to recur (see the row with the 3 at the Dimensional Groups view).  The draw where 3 numbers are even is also still overdue to recur despite it occurring in the last few draws.  These two trends will likely see clusters of draws fulfilling those criteria.</>

<08/09/07>Check out the Company Home page for details on the predictive models used and data tables published.  the draw for 8/9 is what this game predicts for... the draw where all 5 numbers are repeated from somewhere in the last 4 draws is due to recur soon... keep checking here for early indicators.</>

<08/05/07>Watch for multiple pairs repeating for the draw on 8/5, there may even be a "triple" repeat. Look for 3 or 4 draws to repeat from somewhere in the last 6 draws.  Also, watch for the draw where 4 are from the last 6 and the last number is from 7 or 8 draws back.  All from within the last 8 draws.</>

<07/30/07> There have been 26 unique numbers in the last 6 draws, when the count is that high it is a very strong indicator for 3, 4 or all 5 numbers to be picked from within the last 6 draws. For those who may have missed it, check out the draw on 7/25 at Dimensional Counts in Last 7 -- all 5 numbers were picked once before in the previous 5 draws and picked for a second time on 7/25.  Also 3 numbers repeated from 5 draws back on 7/25 (see Daily Pairs Triples repeating).  There are early indicators for those metrics and the odds go way up when only choosing a subset when filtering with the above rules.  The Even/Odd table shows a breakdown of even or odd distributions and currently groups of draws where 3 numbers are even and 2 odd are overdue to recur.  The draw where three numbers picked are 33 and above are overdue to recur (check the Dimensional Groups)</>

<072607> Three numbers repeat for a second day, there may yet be another "triple" within a week.  All 5 numbers had been previously picked within the last 5 draws... that is when your odds go way up when only picking from the pool of the last 5 draws.  Check out the Daily Pairs Triples repeating for a more detailed view of recent series of three numbers repeating.  Watch for more draws where 3 of the numbers picked are 30 or above and the Even/Odd table for a breakdown of even or odd distributions (groups of draws where 3 numbers are even and 2 odd are due to recur).</> <072507>When there are multiple pairs repeating, as on 7/21, that is a very strong indicator for three numbers to repeat such as what happened on 7/24.  Check out the Daily Pairs Triples repeating for more.</>

<7/22/07> Take a look at the daily pairs repeating table; multiple pairs repeating such as 7/21 are an early indicator to another repeating pattern.  The draw where 3 numbers are even and 2 are odd is overdue to recur (Even Odds).</>

<7/20/07> The draw where all 5 numbers are 10 or greater is overdue to recur.  The draw where 3 numbers are 30 or greater is very overdue to recur.  Multiple pairs from between 1 - 6 draws back repeating is due to recur. </>
